Our Story

Middlebrook Accountancy is run by Nick and Liv, a husband-and-wife duo based in Manningtree, Essex, with their snoozy sidekick Jim the whippet. Lifelong locals, they love supporting the brilliant businesses in their community and having a good laugh along the way.

Nick Middlebrook

MAAT

Nick is a fully qualified accountant and has over 10 years of experience along with a borderline obsession with solving problems. Known for his sharp eye for detail and calm reliability, he’s the guy you want in your corner when things get complicated. When he's not balancing books, you'll probably find him with a coffee in one hand and a golf club in the other. He’s got a soft spot for finance books—and a not-so-secret love for dance music.

Liv Middlebrook

After a decade in teaching, Liv has swapped the classroom for business. A big-picture thinker with a love of creativity, she’s full of fresh ideas and always up for a chat. She's passionate about helping businesses grow in bold, imaginative ways. When she's not working, you’ll probably find her wandering through the woods at Furze Hill, slice of cake in hand, lost in an adventure story.

Lisa Toms

Lisa is an Accounts Assistant who is always keen to learn and develop her knowledge. Known for her attention to detail and friendly manner, she enjoys building relationships with clients. When she’s not at work, you’ll probably find her making the most of a day at the beach with her dog or watching a good series on Netflix. If you need a recommendation, Lisa has you covered!
